Dr. Daniel Carrión is an environmental health scientist focused on the intersection of energy, health, and inequalities globally and domestically. He is an incoming faculty member at Yale School of Pubic Health and Yale Center on Climate Change & Health. He earned his PhD from Columbia University and completed postdoctoral fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Carrión’s doctoral work focused on energy poverty in Ghana, examining the health outcomes of household air pollution exposures and opportunities for intervention. He is currently conducting research on energy insecurity, extreme heat exposures, and adverse pregnancy outcomes in the United States. Ultimately, his goal is to develop science that moves energy and environmental policies toward health equity.
