Lariah Edwards is a postdoctoral scientist working jointly at the George Washington School of Public Health (GWSPH) and the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF). At GWSPH, Lariah’s research focuses on exposure and hazard considerations of food additives such as phthalates and their replacements. At EDF, she works on the Toxic Substances Control Act team supporting its advocacy work towards safer chemicals. Lariah earned her doctorate in Environmental Health from Boston University School of Public Health in 2019. Her research was a combination of benchwork science and epidemiological analyses focusing on chemicals in consumer products and their impact on human metabolic health.
