Samar Ahmad joined the Agents of Change program as a Program Associate in 2020. She also serves as a Research Associate at The George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health, where she works in the ARISE-EJ research lab under Dr. Ami Zota. The lab aims to secure environmental justice for marginalized populations and improve health equity through advancements in science, policy, clinical practice, and communication.
Samar earned her Master’s of Public Health in Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology from University of Michigan School of Public Health in 2020. Prior to that, she earned her bachelor’s degree in public health with a specialization in sociology from The Ohio State University.
She is currently based in Washington, DC and enjoys exploring the city and cheering on the Buckeyes in her free time!
