Kevin P. Patterson (Cohort 4)

Kevin Patterson, MPH is a doctoral candidate at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. His research investigates the geo-spatial distribution of metal exposures in public and private drinking water supplies across the US.

He focuses his work on Indigenous communities to understand the relationships between metal(loid) exposure through drinking water and chronic health conditions, aiming to develop primary and secondary interventions. As a citizen of the Navajo Nation, he seeks to inform tribal and federal regulations to reduce environmental exposures in rural, historically marginalized communities.
